USA Today just posted an interview with The Brothers Stause, the directors of the upcoming Aliens Vs. Predator: Requiem. The directorial team continue to say all the rights things about this movie, and continue to give fans of both franchises hope for a film that will help us forget the near worthless AvP.

“There’s a real history to these characters,” says Colin, 31. “People grew up with these characters when it was a serious franchise. We want to make it just as serious and dark as the originals.”

“You’re not going to see 50 digital creatures running around,” Greg says. “We want to bring the franchise back to basics.”

Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem is scheduled for a Christmas ’07 release.
