At last week’s LA Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention Colin and Greg Strause presented 10 minutes of as of yet unseen AvP 2 footage. The clip showed off new Predator weapons, and lots of alien violence. The brothers told the crowd that they were shooting for an R rating, unlike the originals’ PG-13 grade.

“This is definitely going to be R-rated,” Greg Strause said. “We didn’t want to look like we were holding back.”

The Strause brothers created the effects for X-Men 3, T3, and Fantastic Four. AvP 2 will be their directorial debut. The movie is set to be in theaters on Christmas Day.
