Wow, the Harry Potter news just won’t stop, will it? Today is Daniel Radcliffe’s 18th birthday, and he will now be gaining access to his Harry Potter money. (Reportedly over 20 million pounds!)
Daniel is determined not to let fortune and fame go to his head however, when asked what he planned to do with his fortune he told the press:
“I don’t plan to be one of those people who, as soon as they turn 18, suddenly buy themselves a massive sports car collection or something similar., I don’t think I’ll be particularly extravagant.”
“The things I like buying are things that cost about 10 pounds – books and CDs and DVDs.”
Happy birthday Danny, we hope that you stick to those words.

I appreciate why Daniel would like to diversify into other roles but he is going to have a difficult time doing so. Good luck to him though.
The release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (released as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in the United States) took place in 2001.
