Production Weekly is reporting, via their Twitter Feed, that Universal’s prequel to John Carpenter’s classic sci-fi thriller The Thing will begin shooting in Toronto this March, and should wrap up sometime in June.

James Cameron’s Avatar was tops at the box office once again this week.
The sci-fi epic brought in just over $68 million during the three day weekend, which sets the record for a film in its third weekend of release. The previous record holder was 2002’s Spider-Man, which pulled down $45 million in it’s third weekend.

I never owned one when I was younger, but I do have fond memories of playing Sonic and Echo the Dolphin at my friend’s house. Today, during a Comic-Con presentation for Book of Eli, Gary Oldman was asked if he knew when we could expect to see a third Batman film. Much to the surprise of everyone in attendance Oldman answered the question with:
