Mothman Prophecies and Arlington Road director Mark Pellington has been tapped to direct the English-language remake of Juan Antonio Bayona’s The Orphanage.
Originally Wendigo director Larry Fessenden was on board to direct the film, but plans fell through shortly after his involvement was announced. Fesseden was working on the film since it’s initial release.

Production Weekly is reporting, via their Twitter Feed, that Universal’s prequel to John Carpenter’s classic sci-fi thriller The Thing will begin shooting in Toronto this March, and should wrap up sometime in June.

James Cameron’s Avatar was tops at the box office once again this week.
