Warner Bros. has announced that the Wachowski Brothers’ big screen adaptation of Speed Racer will be released on conventional and IMAX screens simultaneously.

Christina Ricci recently told reporters that Trixie, her character in the upcoming Speed Racer film, is just as involved in the film as the male characters are. Trixie is the girlfriend of Speed, who will be played by Emile Hirsch.

The trailer for next year’s Speed Racer has hit the web.

The Wachowski brothers have stated that they want their upcoming big screen adaptation of Speed Racer to look like a “live action cartoon”. The first stills from the movie have been released and it looks like they have achieved that goal.

According to star Emile Hirsch, the upcoming Wachowski brothers Speed Racer adaptation is being shot with all green screen sets.
